A mandatory part of the type D visa pack — and the same rule applies to card renewals. The rules are simple: a Spanish insurer, no co-payments, repatriation cover, for the whole stay VERIFY · lawyer.

What the policy must include
- · Full cover equivalent to the Spanish public system (SNS).
- · No co-payments (sin copagos).
- · Repatriation cover in the event of death or serious illness.
- · Spanish insurer licensed by DGSFP.
- · Term at least matching the visa's validity.
