What comes next: three scenarios after HOTR0508

The course ends in June 2027 — and from that point you have three clear scenarios. Each is not a promise but a description of an existing legal mechanism. Anything marked VERIFY · lawyer needs a final check with an immigration lawyer for your specific situation.

Job and work residence

You get a job offer in Spain and apply to switch the student card to a work permit. The HOTR0508 certificado de profesionalidad is exactly the required diploma.

Next level

You enrol on nivel 3 in hospitality or an adjacent professional programme. The student card is renewed through the standard procedure.

Return with a qualification

You go home or move to another region with a recognised Spanish qualification and Valencia work experience.

Why professional training

What a student status via a certificado de profesionalidad unlocks

We are a school, not an immigration agency — so we simply lay out the rules. All three points need a final check with a lawyer before you plan the move.

The right to work

Under RD 1155/2024 (in force since 20 May 2025), students on programmes that lead to an official qualification can combine studies with work — up to 30 hours per week VERIFY · lawyer. HOTR0508 is exactly such a programme.

Renewals without the “one-off” limit

The single-renewal cap on student status applies to language courses. Professional training is a separate category, so this cap does not apply VERIFY · lawyer. Certificate levels (nivel 2 → nivel 3) give a legal path for successive renewals.

A bridge to a work residence permit

Converting a student card into a residence permit with the right to work requires completing professional training or a university degree. HOTR0508 — an official certificado de profesionalidad — is exactly that required step VERIFY · lawyer.

Switching the student card to a work permit

The legal logic: once you finish professional training, you can apply to change your basis of stay from “estancia por estudios” to a residence permit with the right to work. Key conditions VERIFY · lawyer:

  • · Completed professional training or higher education in Spain.
  • · A job offer from a Spanish employer matching your training profile.
  • · No breaches during study (attendance, renewals, taxes).
  • · Complete file: diploma, certificado de aprovechamiento, TIE, padrón, contract.

We don't handle this procedure — that's the lawyer's job — but we issue the HOTR0508 diploma and the full academic file the lawyer attaches to your dossier.

Where our graduates go

  • · Bars and cocktail bars in central Valencia — bartender, jefe de barra.
  • · Hotel groups (NH, Meliá, Barceló) — camarero de sala, barista, banquetes.
  • · Cafés and specialty coffee shops — barista, encargado de turno.
  • · Own projects — some graduates launch their own venue 2–4 years after the diploma.
